![]() Tagging parts bought from the store to jobs, and the tablet for checking emails and using the store to save going back to your PC were two stand out additions I really appreciated. There are also a few quality of life improvements over the first game. I had forgotten what a task requires a couple of times. Though I think they should make these tutorials replayable for people who need a little refresher. The games tutorials do a great job of walking you through new tasks. S’alright, I didn’t want to clean that part anyways. The only real issue I had with any of the jobs was with the position of the progress box while using compressed air. Some jobs are more enjoyable than others, but that applies to the real world and the game is hardly to blame for that. From virus removal, to water-cooling a graphics card, to building a client a new PC, there are a whole host of jobs to get stuck into. You start with a small sum of money taking on jobs you receive in your inbox. Career mode has you running a computer repair shop for your definitely-not-a-fraudster Uncle Tim. It’s a worthy follow-up, that overclocks the fun (sorry) with some great new features. PC Building Simulator 2 takes what made its predecessor great and adds to it. It was fun and way more relaxing than PC building often is. Minus the finicky, fiddly and curse word-inducing parts, of course. It was a useful tool to help people grasp the basics as it was a pretty accurate portrayal. ![]() I’ve advised many people on how to build a PC, and PC Building Simulator was one thing I recommended a lot to people who wanted to grasp the basics of PC building. PC building is something of a hobby of mine, and “LEGO for grown-ups” is my go-to descriptor when people ask me if it’s complicated. Okay, let’s ignore the fact that plenty of adults (myself included) enjoy LEGO for a second. It is available on PC via the Epic Game Store for £19.99/$24.99 and will require ~26GB storage. It was released Oct 2022 and is the follow-up to 2017’s PC Building Simulator. Today we’ll be looking at PC Building Simulator 2, which comes to us from Spiral House and is published by Epic Games.
